    You must be a high-energy person who is motivated to serve others, communicates effectively and have a successful track record in business management at the level required to operate a Western Sizzlin restaurant. You must also be able to set the pace in a fast moving environment. Prior restaurant experience is a plus.

    Western Sizzlin will examine the demographics for a prospective site and assist you in choosing the site. Basic site requirements include a populated area with a large number of people within one, three and five-mile radius and high traffic counts.

  4. What is involved in the application and approval process?

    During the application and approval process you will visit our Home Office Support Center in Roanoke, Virginia for interviews and an evaluation. Prior to the opening of your restaurant qualified applicants will have to complete a training program at one of restaurant training sites.

  5. How long does it take to become a Western Sizzlin franchisee?

    Our franchise selection process is quite thorough and is designed to ensure that both Western Sizzlin and the prospective franchisee have made an informed business decision before entering into a franchise agreement. After the approval process, the restaurant facility must be converted or built. Therefore, the process to open a Western Sizzlin franchise varies from applicant to applicant.

  6. What is Western Sizzlin’s initial franchise fee?

    Western Sizzlin’s initial franchise fee is $30,000 for your first restaurant and $10,000 for additional restaurants. Please review our start-up costs for more information.

    Western Sizzlin’s royalty fee is 2% of gross revenues for new franchised restaurants. The advertising fee is $250.00 per month. The Wood Grill Buffet's royalty fee is 3% of gross revenues and 1/2% of gross revenues for marketing due monthly.
